How the Process works

Stage Three – The check-out

At the end of the tenancy, a check-out inspection is carried out. The clerk will meet with the tenant and inspect the property against the original inventory taken at the start of the tenancy. The clerk will produce a report which details any dilapidations including cleaning issues, damages, gardening, or items that are not present, but were listed on the original inventory. This will also include who is responsible and the apportionment for each problem raised.

The clerk will fully discuss all findings with the tenant.

Meter readings are again recorded, along with a list of keys returned.

A further schedule of condition at check-out report is produced as at the initial process of check-in.

The report, along with the schedule of condition at check-out will then be sent to the Landlord/Representative by e mail with a hard copy sent out by post.
